Current classes

We encourage all our members to join a Bible study on Sundays at 9am and Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Signs within the building point the way towards these classes.

Spiritual Growth Tracks

To help our members mature spiritually and equip them for good works, we have designed 2 tracks focused on helping people mature in their faith. These courses are offered mostly on Wednesday nights and it will take 2-3 years to attend all of them. We also offer electives every quarter that offer a different style of teaching and expectations of attendees.

WELCOME TRACK

These courses provides a foundation for being a disciple of Jesus and how to become a part of God’s mission at JA.
  1. Spiritual  Disciplines: This course is designed to help you develop spiritual disciplines that lead to a deeper relationship with Jesus and the Word of God.
  2. All about Jesus: This course will cover  the promised blessing of Jesus;  Who He is, His ministry, His teachings, and the role He should play in our lives.
  3. Church 101: Discover the importance of and role of the Church in your life.  This course is also designed to help you get connected with the various ministries at JA

WALKING WITH JESUS TRACK

These core courses are designed to equip us to carry out the work of Jesus as His disciples.
  1. Story of OT: See God's redemptive plans through all the stories in the Bible. Every story whispers about the Messiah upon whom everything will depend.
  2. Story of NT:  See Jesus fulfill God's plan to redeem mankind and the effort to gather others into His Kingdom.
  3. Apologetics:  1 Peter 3:15, tells us  to be prepared to give a defense to anyone who asks the reason for our hope.  This study will help prepare you to share the truth of the Christian faith.
  4. Application of God’s Word: God's word is not meant to just be known but to be lived out.  This course trains us to apply God's Word to what we face daily.
  5. Teachings of Jesus:  The words of the Son of God contain life and truths of how God desires us to live and follow Him.
  6. Evangelism: People need to hear the glorious news of Jesus.  This course helps you form your testimony and ability to share His message.

Interactive Electives

These courses are designed for those seeking a more interactive learning experience. They will require more in-depth participation between and
during the class. Examples of this might include:
  • Round table discussion
  • Biblical Financial Planning
  • Book guided Class

Lecture Electives

These are a constant rotation of elective courses on the New Testament, Old Testament, Christian doctrine, and Christian living delivered in a primarily lecture-based setting or require no 'homework' between studies. Examples of this might include:
  • Study through Romans
  • Singing Class
  • Parables of Jesus
  • Fruits of the Spirit.
